AP TEST in May...College Board information

According to the College Board's website:
Beginning with the May 2011 AP Exam administration, there will be a change to the way AP Exams are scored. Total scores on the multiple-choice section will be based on the number of questions answered correctly. Points will no longer be deducted for incorrect answers and, as always, no points will be awarded for unanswered questions

BLOCK DAY

We completed the Maya and Aztec video and I introduced the first PROJECT of the semester. The details and rubric will be posted on the Beyond the European tradition page on the website (where the intersession work was posted).

I showed you www.dipity.com (a website for interactive timelines). The one I am creating for the class is titled APAH Beyond the European Tradition. I will finish it this weekend.

Your project will be created using www.glogster.com.

We broke up into groups to start working on ideas for the project. Friday and Monday/Tuesday (the day you are not on sophomore retreat) we'll be in the library to work on this.

DUE DATE: Wednesday 2-23-11.

Start of Second Semester

Today we turned in workbook pages. By next week I'll have intersession assignments and workbook pages graded.

We started the Aztecs and Maya video today and will finish it tomorrow.

Block Day we'll start to work on a presentation based on the Intersession work.

Next week Monday and Tuesday will be the sophomore retreat. Chapter 19 and 20 will be due on Wednesday 2-9-11. Detail to be posted tomorrow.

February 1, 2011 begins SEMESTER 2

During class next week we'll get into groups to make posters as visual reminders of the concepts you read during Intersession. We'll discuss in class during the week.

Please bring your WORKBOOKS (BOTH VOLUMES)to class next week. We'll review using some of the questions provided in the back of your workbooks.

New assignments will be posted on Tuesday 2-1-11. They will be due WEDNESDAY 2-9-11. Sophomore retreat days are 2-7 and 2-8.

Don't forget...field trip February 22nd...I'll get out permission slips by the end of the week (2-4-11).
