Monday-Wednesday Next week We'll discuss Africa and artists that took inspiration from their travels to Africa...this brings us FORWARD in time to artists such as Pable Picasso.

Your Quiz will be Thursday 9-24-09. Your Museum Catalog Homework is due then. The rubric was posted to the class website just before I started this blog post.

The next unit will be Aegean and Greece followed by Etruscan and Rome. A good rule of thumb, a quiz and Museum Catalog Due about every 10 days.

Week of September 14th

Today we finished a video about Egypt.

Tuesday the internet exercises and workbook pages must be completed (reading the chapter is expected to complete the assignments/be prepared for class...that need not be mentioned).

Tues-Thurs we'll discuss Egypt with Friday Fun Day this week (OP Art Project Started).

Next week we'll discuss Africa. Read Chapter 15 and complete the workbook pages (150-152 NOT the discussion questions or Looking Carefully). Turn those in by Monday 9-21-09. ALSO complete the chapter 15 Museum Activity (online edition) and email to me by SUNDAY NOON 9-20-09 (renemacvay@yahoo.com).

There will be a quiz on Thursday 9-24-09. The Museum Catalog will be posted on the Website by the end of the day Friday.

Chapter 3...due Tuesday 9-15-09

Read Chapter 3 of our text. Complete the ONLINE companion guide internet exercises (2) and email them to me (cc yourself in case they do not go through).

In the workbook complete discussion question #5 from page 36 (typed with EVIDENCE).

Also complete the Summary of Egyptian Art pages (front and back).

Week of September 7th

Tuesday we'll finish up Mesopotamia video and review. Wednesday a bit more review and I'll start Egypt.

We'll have our quiz and Museum Catalog due on Thursday 9-10-09. It's a MASS day so I'll take that time frame into consideration as I make the quiz.

Thursday I'll post the Egypt Assignment...Due Tuesday 9-15-09. (Friday and Monday we'll watch an Egypt video.

I had to miss class today due to a meeting

you needed to complete the balance worksheet and turn in...you were to work with a partner (and a book) and complete the Chapter 1 worksheet. Write page #'s where answers were found. Due Tuesday if not done in class. Quiz #1 and Museum Catalog Due Thursday 9/10/09.

First Quiz

The Museum Catalog Rubric for the first quiz is posted on the website. The quiz is MOVED to Thursday 9/10/09. Today in class we discussed the museum catalog. I'll do a review session for quiz 1 on Tuesday 9-8-09 before school.
